Quick answer. This Aion 2 beginner guide boils down to five habits: follow the yellow Episode quests to level 45, clear the Expeditions the story sends you to, keep your Odyle Energy, reward cubes, enhancement materials and Kinah for level 45, do regional quests that give accessories, and ignore Korean guides that talk about level 50.

The leveling route, step by step
Section titled “The leveling route, step by step”- Levels 1–20. Stay on the yellow Episode quests. Skill points take each skill to level 10; you do not need to grind monsters.
- First Expedition (~20). The story opens Krao Cave. Clear it for the quest, but do not open the reward cubes – that spends Odyle Energy you will want at 45.
- Level 22 Ascension. Wings upgrade and stigma slots open. Equip the stigmas from your class page, for example the Gladiator or Cleric build.
- Levels 22–35. Urugugu Canyon, the level-32 Ascension and Fire Temple all come from the story. Use regional quests, Strongholds and Sealed Dungeons only when an Ascension gauge needs filling.
- Level 45. The last Ascension gives Ultimate Wings, an Ascension bracelet and an amulet. The story keeps going past 45 but soon asks for a higher item level – that is where the endgame guide takes over.

What to skip or postpone
Section titled “What to skip or postpone”- Grinding normal monsters for XP – the story gives enough.
- Farming leveling dungeons for gear; it is replaced within a few levels.
- Hunting every Empyrean feather while rushing. Grab nearby ones and come back later.
- Heavy enhancement of temporary gear.
Skipping is postponing: map content such as Sealed Dungeons and regional quests gives permanent progress, so it is worth clearing after 45.
Skills while leveling
Section titled “Skills while leveling”Skill points cap each skill at level 10; higher levels come from Daevanion and gear. Specializations unlock at skill levels 8, 12 and 16, which is where class builds diverge. Your class page lists the breakpoints, such as Hellfire 16 on the Sorcerer build or Dark Crush 16 on the Chanter build.
First upgrades
Section titled “First upgrades”Belt and amulet come first, then bracelets: monoliths give amulet scrolls, and Substance Morph raises their rarity. For stats, our damage calculator shows whether crit, attack or a manastone gives more damage for your sheet, with a preset for every class.
Hitting 45

- Nightmare tickets start refilling only at 45, so reaching the cap early is useful even if you explore later.
- Open the daily checklist so Duty Missions, Nightmare and Odyle Energy don’t overflow.
Global vs Korea / Taiwan
Section titled “Global vs Korea / Taiwan”Korean and Taiwanese servers have a level 50 cap, an extra Ascension at 49 and resets at 05:00 server time. None of this applies to Global yet, so check the server in any guide or video you follow. One Global leveling page, for example, mentions the level 50 cap.
How long does it take to reach max level in Aion 2?
One guide estimates 3–4 hours for an average player who only follows the story. NC has published no official figure, and exploring or doing side content adds a lot of time.
What is the max level in Aion 2 Global?
Level 45 for Season 1. Korean and Taiwanese servers are at 50, so ignore Korean guides that mention level 50 content.
How do I level up fast in Aion 2?
Follow the yellow Episode quests, clear the Expeditions the story sends you to, and only do side content when an Ascension gauge needs it. Do not grind mobs or farm leveling dungeons for gear.
What is the best class for a new player?
Our builds hub rates Gladiator, Templar and Ranger as the easiest to play. Pick by role first; every class can reach 45 the same way.
Is Aion 2 pay to win?
We have not found an NC statement to cite. One guide covers the question in its beginner FAQ; what we can confirm is that membership raises some caps (Odyle Energy 560 to 840, extra Shugo keys and Abyss time), per one guide and community timer data.
Should I make an alt early?
Odyle Energy and Nightmare tickets are tracked per character, so alts add extra pools. Duty Mission rewards and some Shugo keys are counted per server, so alts do not double those.
